Terms of Service
Updated September 21, 2026These terms are a contract between you and the Bedrock Shield operator for the Bedrock Shield hosted control plane and the WordPress plugin you connect to it.
This is an operational template. A lawyer should review it before live charges.
The service
We provide a per-site WordPress security plugin and a Hub that issues entitlements, receives signed telemetry, and bills through Stripe. Features depend on the plan (Basic or Pro) and on whether the site is linked. A site that is not linked is not gated by these paid terms.
Accounts
You must use a real work email and keep your password secret (12+ characters). You are responsible for sites you connect and for the Site keys shown once after checkout. If you lose a key, contact [email protected]; we do not email raw Site keys.
Fees and Stripe
Prices are shown on the pricing page and charged by Stripe as a subscription per site per month. Card data never touches our servers. Failed payments start a 7-day grace (Pro stays on), then Pro extras turn off while the firewall stays on, then suspension and later purge as documented in the product. invoice.paid restores a lapsed account.
Acceptable use
Do not probe, overload, or break into the Hub or other customers. Do not use the service to hide illegal activity. We may suspend abuse.
Plugin license
The WordPress plugin is GPL-2.0-or-later. Connecting it to the Hub does not change that license. Paid Hub entitlements are a separate SaaS subscription.
No warranty
Security software reduces risk; it cannot promise that a site will never be compromised. The service is provided as is, without warranties of merchantability, fitness, or uninterrupted protection, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Bedrock Shield operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the Hub service in the 12 months before the claim.
Cancellation
Cancel in Account or the Stripe customer portal. Cancel keeps the account so you can come back during the 60-day window. Close account on Account is immediate: the plan ends, Site keys stop working, and we redact personal data while keeping billing records. We then purge leftover license rows on the documented schedule.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction are the venue for disputes, unless a law that cannot be waived says otherwise.
